Hyundai India Teases The 2020 Verna Facelift; Geta A 1.0-Litre Turbo Petrol Engine

Hyundai India has released teaser images and few important details of the 2020 Verna facelift. Apart from the styling upgrades, the new update also includes the first-ever turbo petrol for the Verna.
The Verna facelift gets big changes upfront. It gets a new hexagonal grille with a bigger mesh pattern, reshaped LED headlights with DRLs, and a redesigned front bumper. The new Verna follows Hyundai’s new ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design philosophy and in Hyundai's words, the new Verna is based on 5 pillars of: Spectacular Design, Outstanding Features, High Reliability, Advanced Technology, and Youthful Performance.
The side profile remains more or less the same except for new, dual-tone alloy wheels. At the back, the new Verna get retweaked taillamps and a redesigned bumper. On the inside, the sedan gets an all-new digital instrument cluster with a 4.2 inch TFT screen, a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Hyundai’s own BlueLink connected car tech is also expected. The new Verna also gets several first-in-segment features such as the front ventilated seats, smart trunk, wireless charger, rear USB charger, and Arkamys Premium Sound.
The new Verna will be offered in BS6 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine configurations including a 1.0-litre Turbo GDI engine. The 1.5-litre BS6 petrol will be mated to a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission, a 6-speed Manual Transmission & Intelligent Variable Transmission. Similarly, the 1.5-litre BS6 diesel will be offered in a 6-speed MT and AT.
